"Roxy"
by Kimberly Bustillos on 12/2/2008 2:10:19 AM

Roxy, also know as Rosanna, is a wonderful person I met when I was 15.  I have to admit the first thing that drew me towards her was her hair.  To this day (even though I haven't seen her in years) I still love her hair!  After I got over the overall shock of her amazing hair, I really became infatuated with her (not in a creepy way, in a very respectful, awe inspiring way).  She was an interesting person.  I think her overall personality really mirrored the way I saw myself.  Thus the reason why I jumped at the chance to paint when I saw the photo of her on her myspace.  I think this painting really says it all, not only for Rosanna, but for people as a whole.  Trying so hard to break away from the mold, but keep who she is at the same time.  Ready and daring in bold colors, but still hesitant enough to look back in the mirror to see if its ok still.
