I had the pleasure of participating in the annual wetcanvas (www.wetcanvas.com its a great site for artists) holiday portrait swap.  My portrait swap partner was Mrs. Anita Murphy herself (the link to her art site  can be found in "Favorite Links" on my main page).  In this painting my main objective (besides getting a likeness) was to work with light and its reflective qualities.  Up until a few weeks ago I really had no clue how much color light and shadows reflect!  This painting was both fun and challenging.  Overall it was a great experience and I can't wait until next years portrait swap!
