12x16 Sauce/Conte' on Panel

This is my second attempt at using Russian sauce.  Its somewhat similar to charcoal and conte'.  I would consider it more of a drawing medium.  Except with sauce you can draw with it or crush it down and paint with it.  On this piece I used the crushed sauce and painted it on both wet and dry.  First I painted a layer of sauce on the whole panel.  After  it dried I transfered my drawing on to it.  Next I erased the sauce off the lighter areas of the painting.  I then did detail and highlights with conte'.  I'm really liking sauce.  Its a great medium to work with.
